1-5-13

After a few iterations of rear bell-crank dimensions I finally arrived at the motion ratio and rate change characteristics I was hoping for, so then it was on to CAD to design the actual parts.  That is opposite of how the process normally works, but such is the case when rebuilding an existing car.

I decided upon making the bell-crank with three identical steel plates.  The damper will mount between two of the plates and the pull-rod in the other gap.  There are also attachment points for a sway-bar.  Not the most elegant part, but very easy to manufacture.  Here is what the part will look like:
